Our Story

A family scrap business built at the Port of Iberia.

The story behind Thibodeaux & Son starts with two men, a pickup truck and a torch.

How it started

Work first. Growth followed.

Louis Thibodeaux and his son Tim began working scrap together in 1979. At the time, the business assets were essentially the two of them, a pickup truck and a torch.

In 1983, after the yard they worked for went out of business, Louis and Tim borrowed their first piece of equipment and started their own scrap yard at the Port of Iberia.
